Business Diagnostics™ Certification Course

This is a hands-on training course, uniquely designed for small and medium sized businesses, which teaches the employees very practical skills on how to measure the current state of their business, determine weakest operational areas, identify optimal ideas to improve performance and quantify the impact from the implementation of the suggested proposals.

This two-day training will allow the employees to explore their company from a completely different angle. They will have both high-level and more detailed understanding of where their company currently stands and where it should be headed to. Among many benefits, the participants will also acquire analytical, brainstorming, problem solving and presentation skills. They will master the process of generating and selecting the improvement ideas, measuring their economic impact, preparing and presenting one-page summaries of findings.

Unit 1 – “Course Overview and Introductions” 

  • Brief overview of the training
  • Participant introductions with the highlights of current experience
  • Trainer introductions with the overview of the company and credentials

Unit 2 – “The Foundations of Business Diagnostics”

  • Definition and the necessity of Business Diagnostics (BD)
  • Main steps in conducting the BD
  • Anatomy of a company and assessment criteria
  • Main deliverables of BD

Unit 3 – “Deliverable 1 – Building Heat/Spider Map”

  • Filling out the comprehensive company questionnaire
  • Plotting company’s Heat Map and Spider Diagram
  • Analyzing the scores: total score, weak and strong areas
  • Presenting the results and QA session

Individual Work

  • Further analysis of Heat/Spider map results
  • Recommendations to improve the weakest areas in organizations

  • Sorting ideas using financial impact and complexity tables
  • Placing ideas on the Prioritization matrix

  • Defining the goal, cost/benefit analysis and milestones of implementation
  • Preparing a one-page summary utilizing industry standards

Process Optimization (Lean Six Sigma) Certification Course

This course focuses on understanding and application of the five-phase DMAIC tools, which is the cornerstone of a famous Lean Six Sigma methodology widely used worldwide in the companies such as Toyota, Intel, Nike, Amazon, Boeing, and General Electric.

This two-day course will teach the employees how to use lean six sigma tools such as process mapping, project charter, CTQs, decision-making matrices, implementation plan and many more. Case studies will improve the skills of each participant in initiating and successfully implementing any improvement project.
